10 German cities will hold UEFA Euro 2024 together. On September 27, 2018, UEFA announced through its official website that Germany had been awarded the right to host UEFA Euro 2024. During the campaign, Germany managed to beat its only rival Turkey and was elected to host the UEFA Euro tournament for the first time since 1988. The Germany national team has won the tournament three times in the 16 editions that have been held so far.
The highly industrialized German team is equally competitive in soccer, and has already qualified for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, led by Hans Flick, in the European qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup, which will take place at the end of the year. At the 2024 Euros on home soil, both veterans in the German squad, Manuel Neuer and Thomas Muller, are likely to continue playing, while the younger generation in Germany is also ready to take over.
In order to host the UEFA Euro, Germany chose 10 professional soccer stadiums in 10 cities – Berlin, Cologne, Dortmund, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg, Leipzig, Munich and Stuttgart – to host the tournament. Previously, the German national team had won the 1974 World Cup in Germany. I wonder if, after 50 years, the German national team will be able to win the championship in the local UEFA Euro ?
